Each yearthe Club organizes two or more trips to ski hills and ski resorts outside the Atlantic area. Hills in New England, Quebec are always successful and in some years over seventy members have participated. Smaller groups have made special trips to British Columbia and western Europe.
Your Directors responsible for organizing these trips have had a great deal of experience selecting hills that offer the best skiing, accommodations and services at the most reasonable prices. Commonly they include five or more days of skiing, meals, etc. and bus transportation for those who would rather not drive to the hills themselves. A special effort is made to ensure that different hills are visited each year. Where possible arrangements are made to ski other hills in the same general area. For example, a trip to the Eastern Townships of Quebec might include day trips to Mont Orford, Owls Head, Mont Sutton and Jay Peaks in Vermont.
Ski Hills recently visited by your Club in Quebec include: Stoneha m, Mont Ste. Anne, Mont Orford, Owls Head and Mont Sutton. Those in Vermont include Jay Peak and in Maine Sugarloaf and Sunday River. Hills in New Hampshire visited by the Club include Bretton Woods and Canon Mountain. Special trips have been made to Sun Peaks and Silver Star in British Columbia. Also small groups of club members have made trips to Kitzbuhl, Austria and elsewhere in Europe. Detailed information about the ski hills visited by your Club may be obtained by visiting the Ski Resorts, North America link on the website menu bar.
Trip locations for the forthcoming ski season are recommended by a special committee and approved by the Board of Directors each year at the end of the ski season. All information pertaining to the ski trips is published in the Club's newsletter Winter Words which is available on line.

Ski Trip to Bretton Woods
at the Mt Washington Hotel site from Sun Mar 4 to Fri Mar 9, 2012. Bretton Woods has a reputation for best groomed trails in the east. We have arranged accommodation at the cozy Bed & Breakfast located just to the left of the big hotel. The B&B is a perfect location for our group as there are two large living rooms (with a bar) on the main floor – great for après ski or evening gathering for card playing, etc. A daily full breakfast is included in the room price. They have offered us one free gift – a draw for dinner for two at the Mt Washington Hotel. (Draw to be carried out after all reservations are finalized.)
Costs include accommodation, full breakfast and lift tickets or cross country skiing. (100 km of cross-country). Nordic Centre is located in front of the Mt Washington Hotel. There are 101 downhill trails.
